The symposium will feature topics concerning patient care and technology, eco-compliance, reliability, optimizing component selection, ultra small SiP for medical applications, benefits of lean flow manufacturing, and much more. The keynote presentation, titled The Imminent Revolution of Medical Electronics, will be given by Celeste Null, Director of Biomedical Engineering, Intel Corporation on Wednesday, January 30. Celeste has held engineering management positions in all facets of semiconductor manufacturing, including product, process, and technology development, as well as design, qualification, and customer engagements. To complement the symposium, two tutorials on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) are offered on Thursday, January 31st. The morning tutorial will cover Strategies for Comprehensive and Cost Effective Automatic Testing for Medical Electronics. The afternoon tutorial will continue with Utilizing DFT and BIST to Complement Automatic Testing of Medical Electronics. The Medical Electronics Symposium, previously held in Minneapolis, MN will now be co-located with the Medical Device and Manufacturing Expo (MDM) West. MDM West has been a recognized resource for medical devices and equipment since 1985 and is co-located with the Electronics West Tradeshow, the worlds largest exhibit for medical manufacturing.
